Survey Comments

The Yardstick has improved the look of California interiors since 1958. In 1979, second-generation owner Jack Alter joined the company his parents created. He officially took ownership in 1990 and carries on the family tradition of creativity, integrity and overall excellence.

The Yardstick works with discerning homeowners who desire custom window coverings, upholstery, accessories and designer fabrics. They offer free in-home consultations given by expert designers. During that time they’ll evaluate your needs, study the architecture and design of your rooms and suggest window treatments, fabrics and color options. Every design detail is considered, including how the window coverings will look from outside the home. Furniture can be custom-upholstered in fabrics to complement the new draperies and curtains. The Yardstick can also create pillows, bedspreads, table skirts and other accessories to complete the look.

The staff at The Yardstick wants you to be completely happy with your new interior. Once installed every customer has 90 days to present any issues that require adjustments and, in addition, The Yardstick warranties its work for one year after their professional installers finish the order.
