Owner Hans Art

Hans Art started his career as a one-man Volkswagen repair business back in 1970. Over the years he has expanded his expertise and today he is qualified to perform maintenance and repair work on most models of German, Japanese, Swedish, and newer American cars. Mr. Art has surrounded himself with a talented staff of skilled mechanics and customer-oriented sales people, including a senior technician who has been with him since 1988. Together, they continue to provide the kind of quality customer and automotive service that has earned them an extremely loyal following. Hans Art Automotive is AAA Approved, and was voted "Best in Bay" by the Bay Guardian 2000.

COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
"We do one thing and do it well: fix cars. Our goal is to maintain our customers' cars so they can keep them for as long as possible with routine maintenance and careful annual inspections. We clearly communicate what we believe needs to be done to the vehicle and why. The informed consumer then makes the call as to whether they wish to proceed or not. We don't use highpressure tactics or recommend services that don't make good economic sense."
